Longtime Port Washington Firefighter Frank Pavlak Dies

Three wakes to be held this week at Protection Engine Company.

Lifelong Port Washington resident Frank C. Pavlak, a 42-year member of Protection Fire Engine Company Number One, died Dec. 7.  

A graduate of Schreiber High School in 1965, Pavlak, 66, is survived by his children, Francis "Bill" Pavlak, Christina Pavlak and Barbara Keller; two sisters Kathleen and Helen; and four grandchildren.

Three wakes are planned at Protection Engine Company: On Monday from 7-9; and on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. at Protection, located at 14 S. Washington St. 

There will be a church service Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 9 Carlton Ave.

Internment will be at Knolls Cemetery.
