PORT WASHINGTON, NY — A Baxter Estates man who was the director of the Port Washington Public Library for over three decades has died, according to reports. He was 92.
Edward A. de Sciora died March 18, just a day after his birthday, according to TheIslandNow.com.He became library director in 1958 and served in the position for more than 35 years, according to the report. While in the position, he oversaw the library's move from its location on Belleview Avenue to its current location on Main Street, according to an obituary posted on the Port Washington News website.
