Memorial Day Fireworks Extravaganza at North Hempstead Beach Park
Kick off the summer season with live music, fireworks and more.

Members of the community can kick off the summer season with a Memorial Day Fireworks and Commemoration Ceremony at North Hempstead Beach Park on Saturday, May 27.
The extravaganza will feature musical entertainment from Eagles tribute band Desert Highway and DJ Kev Dee, who will play popular songs from yesterday and today. Students from New Hyde Park Memorial High School will sing the National Anthem.
Those who come for the entertainment can also enjoy a walking path along the water and picnic areas.

The program kicks off at 6 p.m. and the fireworks begin once it becomes dark.
“Each year we look forward to hosting our Memorial Day Fireworks Ceremony at North Hempstead Beach Park,” Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth said in a press release. “The event recognizes our Veterans and pays tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our freedom. We invite all Town residents to join us for a beautiful evening.”

A short NHTV film highlighting some of the Town’s local veterans will be shown before the fireworks. The veterans will speak about their service to their country and those who have been lost.
The event is free but vehicles will be charged a $10 parking fee.
Bosworth and the Town Board announced the event. The event's title sponsor is NEFCU and the media sponsor is Kiss Products Inc.
