Memorial Day Fireworks Extravaganza At North Hempstead Beach Park
Kick off the summer season with live music, fireworks and more.

Members of the community can kick off the summer season with a Memorial Day Fireworks and Commemoration Ceremony at North Hempstead Beach Park on Saturday, May 26.
The extravaganza will feature musical entertainment from Wonderous Stories and special guests. Students from Carle Place High School will sing the National Anthem and Cub Scouts from Pack 221 will perform the Pledge of Allegiance.
Those who come for the entertainment can also enjoy a walking path along the water and picnic areas.

The program kicks off at 6 p.m. and the fireworks begin once it becomes dark.
“Each year we look forward to hosting our Memorial Day Fireworks Commemoration and Fireworks at North Hempstead Beach Park,” Supervisor Judi Bosworth said in a press release. “This event serves to pay tribute to our veterans, active duty military personnel and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our freedom.”

The event is free but vehicles will be charged a $10 parking fee. However, parking will be free for veterans and active duty military on May 26. A parking pass will be available at various facilities throughout the Town with a proof of ID. For more information on how to receiving a free parking pass, go here.
