PORT WASHINGTON, NY — The Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District has awarded the New Tenant Grant to Narinatto Restaurant on Irma Avenue.

Owner Hyek Chen opened Narinatto Restaurant in a long-vacant space just before the coronavirus outbreak hit. As with all restaurants and other non-essential businesses, Narinatto was forced to close for a time during the lockdown period to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Now, the restaurant is open for limited outdoor dining.

The Port Washington BID offers grants to businesses within the district to assist with improvements that enhance the overall appearance of storefronts and a one-time grant to help businesses with the costs of re-opening.
