North Hempstead Broadcasts Sustainable Yard Care Workshop

North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board are proud to announce the Town’s Sustainable Yard Care class will be broadcast on North Hempstead TV (NHTV), the Town’s government access TV station and online.

Residents will be able to watch the programs on channel 18 or 63 on Cablevision and channel 46 on Verizon FIOS or by visiting www.mynhtv.com.

“We wanted to make sure that people would be able to participate in the Town’s informative classes while social distancing and remaining safe,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “These valuable classes provide a wealth of information on how to make your home and yard more sustainable.”

The Sustainable Yard Care class will teach attendees how to enhance their outdoor landscape by composting, using a rain barrel, saving water, creating wildlife habitat, using alternatives to pesticides, applying fertilizer properly, and more.For more information, please call 311 or 516-869-6311.
