The Town of North Hempstead is joining a statewide program to encourage residents to make the transition to renewable energy.
The Solarize North Hempstead program looks to help residents and businesses learn the ins and outs of solar energy.
The Town partnered with New York State Energy Research & Development Authority to identify solar companies who offer high quality products, and who support the local green-collar job market to serve as Solar Partners for the Solarize program.

These companies are offering free solar site assessments, financial discounts and incentives to Town property owners throughout the term of the Solarize Program, which runs through Dec. 31.
Solar Partners were chosen to help constituents make an informed decision about going solar. SUNation of Ronkonkoma and SunPower by EmPower were chosen as our residential Solar Partners, and GreenLogic of Roslyn Heights and SUNation of Ronkonkoma were chosen as commercial Solar Partners.

The program is open to property owners of the unincorporated area; however, the companies may choose to extend the Solarize discounts to Village property owners, at their discretion.
