North Hempstead’s Bosworth To Deliver Final State Of Town Address
The address will include updates on the coronavirus pandemic response, modernizing town records, and the North Hempstead Town Beach project.

NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NY — Next Friday will be a day of firsts and lasts for Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth.
Bosworth will deliver her first virtual State of the Town address, but it will be the last one before she steps down from her post at the end of the year.
The League of Women Voters of Port Washington-Manhasset will begin the event, which will be organized using Zoom and broadcast live on the town’s website and Facebook page starting at 12 p.m., according to a news release. The address will be the first one that Bosworth has delivered virtually.

The address will include an update on the Town’s COVID-19 pandemic response, highlighting new programs that have been created such as the Lift Up Local campaign for local businesses, including outdoor dining and shopping, town officials said. Recreational events such as drive-in movies and concerts, will also be highlighted, as well as a multitude of other events and virtual programs that were created in 2020, according to town officials.
The town’s goal and vision highlights of 2021 will focus on its Cultural Master Plan, the modernization of the town’s records using CitizenServe, the North Hempstead Beach Park project, and infrastructure improvements for parks and roadways, town officials said.

Bosworth’s State of the Town Address will air throughout the month on NHTV, which is channel 18 or 63 on Cablevision, and channel 46 on Verizon FIOS. Residents can also watch the speech on demand on the Town’s YouTube page at www.youtube.com/townofnorthhempstead.
