North Hempstead Town Snow Crews On The Ready
Supervisor Judi Bosworth urges caution as driving conditions are dangerous, "keep as many vehicles off the roads" to assist snow crews.

NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NY — Snow crews are on the ready to plow and salt roadways throughout the Town of North Hempstead on Sunday.
Supervisor Judi Bosworth is encouraging residents to remain indoors and exercise caution as “driving conditions could be dangerous”and she requested that residents keep “as many vehicles off town streets as possible” to allow our crews to clear roadways.
Bosworth requested residents wait until streets have been plowed to begin shoveling sidewalks and driveways, however, she noted that if they must shovel, to remember to pile snow to the left of the driveway and not to shovel or plow snow from driveways and sidewalks into the roadways. “This can create icy patches, and it's a nuisance to neighbors and a safety hazard to pedestrians and vehicles,” she said.
