Port Rowing Team Member Selected for the US Junior National Team!
Brett Bosse from St Mary's High School to row for Junior National team
Brett Bosse from Manhasset, NY has been invited to row on the U17 US Junior National Team this summer. Following a month of training with his USJNT teammates in Sarasota, Florida he will represent the US during the USRowing Club National Championships in Ohio. Brett attends St. Mary's High School in Manhasset and he trains under Port Rowing's Program Director & Head Coach Michiel Bartman.
Coach Bartman says, “I am very proud of Brett and his qualification for the U17 USJNT. He is a very hard worker and dedicated to the sport. It is a real pleasure to work with him and see his progression. His qualification for the U17 team means also a boost for the other guys on the team” Coach Bartman is 3-time Olympic Medalist earning gold and 2 silver medals respectively at the ’96 Atlanta, ’00 Sydney and ’04 Athens Olympic Games.
USRowing is a nonprofit organization recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as the governing body for the sport of rowing in the United States.

Port Rowing’s boathouse is located in North Hempstead Beach Park and offers multiple opportunities to participate in and benefit from the sport of rowing. Port Rowing is a no-cut, community program and welcomes all who are interested in learning to row. The mission is to provide the platform to build a passion for the sport and for each rower to maximize his or her potential. Rowing is an opportunity to build endurance, personal ability, courage, strength and teamwork.

Registration is open for Summer Camps which begin June 27. Three consecutive 2-week camps are available for teens in high school and middle school both with experience and those new to rowing. Programs are also available for adults to train or compete. Unique to Port Rowing is the adaptive rowing program which partners teens on the autism spectrum with peer mentors.
