Port Washington Drive-In Movie Lineup Released

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — The Town of North Hempstead's drive-in movie events in August will feature family favorites and animated films. All showings will be held at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington. Titles include "Trolls World Tour," "Back to the Future" and "Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker."

Each week, cars will be admitted beginning at 8 p.m. and films will start at 9 p.m. Registration began Monday.

• Saturday, Aug. 1: Trolls World Tour
• Saturday, Aug. 8: Back to the Future
• Saturday, Aug. 15: The Lion King (2019)
• Saturday, Aug. 22: Coco
• Saturday, Aug. 29: Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker

While all events are free, the Town encouraged attendees to bring non-perishable or canned foods to each showing as part of North Hempstead's donation drive. Residents must register their cars in advance by visiting NorthHempsteadNY.gov/drive-in or by calling 311. Registration is open to residents even if they have registered and attended a Town drive-in movie before.

No food will be available for purchase. Residents are encouraged to bring their own snacks. Restrooms will be available.
