PORT WASHINGTON, NY — A proposal for the construction of a film studio at the abandoned Publishers Clearing House property on Channel Drive in Port Washington North will be discussed during a public hearing April 7, according to the village’s website.

Patchogue architect Alexander Badalamenti, of bld architecture, who represents 101 Channel Drive, LLC, has filed an application proposing to demolish the one-story structure on the property and build a two-story building for a movie/sound studio, according to the village’s website. There will be a total of six film studios and “ancillary site work,” including, but not limited to, landscaping and the placement of utilities, the village’s website states.

The public hearing, which will be held over Zoom, begins at 7:30 p.m.
