Port Washington LIRR Service Suspended After Bridge Strike
BREAKING: MTA workers told passengers to head to the Great Neck station Friday morning.
PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Long Island Rail Road service was suspended Friday morning in Port Washington following a bridge strike, MTA workers said. Passengers were told to go to the Great Neck station.
Emergency responders were at Plandome Station around 8:30 a.m. Glass was strewn on Stonybrook road and the vehicle had already been removed from the scene.
The 8:08 a.m., 8:18 a.m., 8:45 a.m., 9:11 a.m., 9:40 a.m., 10:10 a.m., 10:40 a.m. and 11:10 a.m. trains to Penn Station were all canceled.
