Port Washington Superintendent Clears Air Over Coronavirus
A Port Washington resident who some have heard has coronavirus does not have children at PWUFSD, the superintendent said.
PORT WASHINGTON, NY — A Port Washington resident believed to have tested positive for coronavirus, and is under quarantine, does not have children that attend Port Washington Union Free School District, according to a letter from Superintendent Michael Hynes.
Hynes added the Nassau County health department has not confirmed that the resident has tested positive.
"This information is being shared with our school community to keep you informed and updated with the latest information regarding our community, as this is a fluid situation. We will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation to update residents as new information becomes available," the superintendent's letter said.
