Port Washington Suspends Parking Meters For Holidays
Port Washington shoppers rejoice! Parking meters along major shopping corridors have been frozen.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — 'Tis the season in Port Washington and shoppers can rejoice that parking along major streets will be free for the holiday season.
The Port Washington Parking District announced Monday that meters along Port Washington Boulevard, Main Street, Irma Avenue, South Maryland Avenue and Carlton Avenue will remain suspended through New Years' Day.
The district said it hopes the freeze will encourage neighbors and visitors to shop locally.

Time restrictions, such as two-hour maxes, will continue to be enforced, the district said.
