Nassau Crash Leaves 76-Year-Old Passenger Dead
Police say a driver crashed into a telephone pole. A 76-year-old passenger in the back of the car died.

ROSLYN ESTATES, NY — One person is dead following a crash in Roslyn Estates.
Around 5 p.m. Saturday, a 53-year-old woman was driving a 2017 Mercedes-Benz south on Searingtown Road when she crashed into a telephone pole near Diana’s Trail, Nassau County police said. Nadejda Skokova, a 76-year-old Rego Park woman who was in the back of the car, suffered multiple injuries and died at a hospital, police said.
The driver and the driver’s 4-year-old son who was also in the back seat were not hurt. They were taken to a hospital for evaluation.

The vehicle was impounded for a brake and safety test.
