List: Hundreds Of Port Washington Businesses Took Out PPP Loans
Data released Monday shows hundreds of Port Washington businesses took out loans under the federal Paycheck Protection Program.
PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Hundreds of small businesses in Port Washington received thousands of dollars in federal assistance as part of the Paycheck Protection Program, created to help them continue paying workers amid the coronavirus pandemic, records released Monday showed.
The U.S. Small Business Administration on Monday released details on individual loans doled out under the program, commonly known as PPP. The data included businesses that took out loans of more than $150,000 and those that took out loans of less than $150,000.
Loans of over $150,000 accounted for nearly 75 percent of the money approved, officials said. That data includes business names, addresses, industry and ZIP codes, business type, demographic data, nonprofit information, lender name, jobs supported, and loan amount ranges.

For all loans below $150,000, the federal government did not disclose individual business names and addresses.
Large Loans
Port Washington saw 114 loans taken out of at least $150,000. Four companies took out loans of between $5 million to $10 million, the highest bracket: Kiss Nail Products, Lif Industries, Palm Bay International and Safavieh. The four companies indicated a combined 1,442 jobs would be retained.

Seven companies took out loans of between $2 million and $5 million, the second highest amount available: Fassa, Ivy Enterprises, L.I. Restaurant Associates, North Shore Animal League America, Pyramid Floor Covering, Shake-N-Go Fashion and WAC Lighting. The businesses indicated 1,255 jobs would be retained.
Seven more companies took out loans of between $1 million and $2 million: Aboslute Hot New York, Equashield, Group PMX, Litehouse Builders, Model Model Hair Fashion, PACOA and Parker Waichman LLP. The businesses indicated 609 jobs would be retained.
Small Loans
In Port Washington, 747 loans were taken out for under $150,000. The loans range from as low as $1,000 all the way up to $148,600. The median small loan taken out was $21,250.
