The popular songwriters are appearing at Landmark on Main Street on Saturday in a concert hosted by WFUV's John Platt.

Songwriters Mary Gauthier and David Wilcox perform Saturday at Landmark on Main Street Saturday in Port Washington Saturday.
The popular artists’ “wit will make you laugh,” “lyrics will make you cry” and “performances will ensure you leave the show smiling,” their press materials state.
“I have to be called to write,” said Gauthier, whose latest release is “Trouble and Love.”

“The call comes from somewhere I don’t understand, but I know it when I hear it,” he added. “This album reflects a total human experience. Love, loss and a life transformed.”

Hailed as a ”songwriter’s songwriter,” Wilcox’s songs have been covered k.d. lang and other artists.
