Town Of North Hempstead 2021 Budget Hearings Scheduled
Four public hearings are scheduled on the Town Of North Hempstead's proposed 2021 budget. Here's how you can watch.
PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Four hearing dates have been set on the Town of North Hempstead's proposed 2021 budget. The tentative budget will be submitted at the Sept. 24 Town Board meeting, which begins at 7 p.m., officials said.
The meetings will be held virtually on the town’s website. Any changes in location will be posted on the website or can be found by calling 311.
- Oct. 1 at 10 a.m.: Town Board conducts a work session.
- Oct. 8 at 7 p.m.: Town Board holds a public hearing on the tentative budget. Public comments will be accepted.
- Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.: Hearing on the preliminary budget. Public comment will be accepted.
- Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.: Town Board votes on the budget.
The 2020 budget totaled about $69.5 million and included money for concerts, multicultural events, recreational opportunities, snow removal, tree trimming and planting, street sweeping, sidewalk repairs,
