Tractor-Trailer Jackknifes On Long Island Expressway, NY DOT Says

BREAKING: Officials say drivers in the area should expect "heavy delays."

EAST HILLS, NY — A tractor-trailer jackknifed on the Long Island Expressway on Wednesday afternoon, blocking multiple lanes.

It happened on the westbound lanes of the expressway between exits 39 and 37 near East Hills, according to the state Department of Transportation website. The right and center lanes were blocked.

Nassau County traffic officials tweeted that drivers should expect "heavy delays" in the area.
