2 Charged With Death Of Man Found In Abandoned Car On LI: Police

The Sag Harbor man was found dead in an abandoned vehicle in Riverhead; two from Hampton Bays have been charged, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Two Hampton Bays residents were arrested and charged Wednesday in the death of a man whose body was found in an abandoned vehicle in Riverhead last month, police said.

According to Suffolk County Police, homicide squad detectives charged Alcides Lopez-Cambara, 40, and Tyara Lemus, 18, both of Allomara Road, with second degree murder. They are being held overnight at the Riverhead jail and are scheduled to be arraigned at Southampton Justice Court on Thursday, police said.

On Nov. 11, the body of Marco Grisales, 39, of Sag Harbor was found in the vehicle on the side of Roanoke Avenue, south of Green Tree Drive, at 7:40 p.m., police said. Homicide squad detectives determined that Grisales had suffered head injuries, police said.
