3 Rescued From Small Aluminum Boat In Bay

RIVERHEAD, NY — Three men were rescued from a small aluminum boat in the Great Peconic Bay Sunday, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place at 6:10 p.m. when a call came in about a vessel "in distress" on the bay.

Riverhead Town Police's dive team and the Jamesport Fire Department searched the Great Peconic Bay and found the three in a small aluminum vessel, police said.

All three were brought back safely to shore and none needed medical attention, police said.
