Elderly Woman Killed In Wading River Crash

Rose Mastrodomenico, 90, of Calverton, died after the two-vehicle crash.

WADING RIVER, NY — An elderly woman was killed in a Wading River crash Monday morning, police said. According to Suffolk County police, the crash happened on Route 25A at 9:48 a.m. Rose Mastrodomenico, 90, of Calverton was driving a 2014 Nissan eastbound on Route 25A when she attempted to enter a parking lot on Route 25A and her vehicle was struck by a westbound 2006 Jeep driven by Meghan Cunningham, 42, of Rocky Point, police said.

Mastrodomenico was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced dead; Cunningham was also transported to Stony Brook University for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.

No charges were filed, police said.
