Waterspouts Spotted Off Long Island
See photos and videos of waterspouts off Long Island as strong storms moved through Saturday.

All flash flood warnings for Long Island have now expired, but a round of powerful storms produced some incredible scenes on the water Saturday.
Several people spotted waterspouts off Suffolk County and took to social media to share them. Check them out the photos and videos below.
Waterspouts are tornadoes that form over water, or move from land to water. They have the same characteristics as a land tornado. They are associated with severe thunderstorms, and are often accompanied by high winds and seas, large hail, and frequent dangerous lightning.
