Girl Scouts To Hold School Supply Drive For Local Students

On Wednesday, August 13 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Girls Scouts of Suffolk County will sponsor “Ice Cream With a Purpose,” a school supply drive to benefit local students.

The public is invited to drop off new school supplies and gift cards outside of the Ice Cream Shoppe at East Wind Inn and Spa in Wading River. The supplies and gift cards will go to local elementary school guidance department for distribution to Riverhead students in need.

50% of purchases at the Ice Cream Shoppe will be donated to purchase additional supplies specified by district professionals.
