Manorville Man Who Solicited Sex From Girl, 15, In Custody: Cops

He handed the girl a cell phone with a pre-typed sexually explicit message for her to read and requested she perform a sex act, police say.

MANORVILLE, NY —A Manorville man wanted for soliciting sex from a minor is now in custody, police said.

According to Suffolk County Police, Andrew Quattrone, 38, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday and charged with third-degree criminal solicitation and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday, police said.

The incident took place on Thursday, May 13, at 5:15 p.m. in a parking lot on East Main Street in Babylon when Quattrone approached a 15-year-old girl, handed her a cell phone with a pre-typed sexually explicit message to read, and requested she perform a sex act, police said.

When a friend of the girl walked over, Quattrone fled the parking lot in a gray 2006 Acura with New York license plate KKT-1304, police said.

A two-count warrant was issued for Quattrone by Suffolk County's first district court on May 24, police said..
