Pair In Car Had Loaded Handgun, Crack Cocaine: Cops

The loaded handgun and a large quantity of crack cocaine were found in a vehicle on East Main St. in Riverhead, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Two men were found with a loaded handgun and crack cocaine in a vehicle in Riverhead, police said.

According to Riverhead Police, the incident took place on Monday at 12:15 p.m. when officers responded to a call on East Main St. Police found two men in the vehicle with the loaded handgun and "a large quantity" of crack, police said.

Troyshawn Burgess, 20, of Riverhead, was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said. Tymell Kimble, 19, of Riverhead, was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Both were processed and held for arraignment, police said.
