Pandemic Can't Stop Santa: 'Christmas House LI' Attraction Opens
The new, 10-room immersive family-friendly attraction includes real indoor snow, a Christmas cake walk, an elf room, and Santa himself.

RIVERHEAD, NY — The coronavirus pandemic can't stop Santa: A brand-new, 10-room, immersive family-friendly attraction, "Christmas House Long Island", is set to open in Riverhead soon.
Christmas House Long Island is an indoor holiday experience offering guests a "wondrous 8,000 square foot multi-room walk-through experience. Each of the 10 rooms have been curated by actual Hollywood set designers using creative lighting and theatrical effects that bring to life all the sights, sounds, lights, decorations, ornaments and characters associated with the holiday season, with some interesting twists," a release said.
Christmas House Long Island, set to open on Friday, November 6, is located at 1241 Old Country Road in Riverhead. Reserved date and time tickets are available now by clicking here.

Following all coronavirus social distancing protocols, Santa Claus himself will greet children and families every weekend and on special dates during November and December.
Visitors will be able to enjoy Long Island's first "Christmas Cake Walk", with cakes designed by Andy Cakes; the cakes can also be ordered for purchase and local tri-state delivery, the release said.

Among the featured attractions are the "Snow Room," with real indoor snow effects; as well as the "Summer Christmas Room," filled with real beach sand. Other themed rooms include the "Elf Room", "Christmas Story Room", inspired by the classic holiday movie, a gift shop and "Bakery Wonderland," with gingerbread and holiday cookies.
“Long Islanders have had a tough year and are looking for safe and family-friendly experiences that are both new and different. At Christmas House Long Island it’s our goal to create a fun and memorable experience that will become a new family tradition for thousands,” said Jim Cirillo, co-producer of Christmas House Long Island. “If you love the holiday season Christmas House Long Island is for you. Our creative team with decades of theatrical production backgrounds is committed to making this holiday special for all of our guests.”
Christmas House Long Island will be open through January 10, 2021. All New York State and Suffolk County health and safety rules and regulations as well as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention health guidelines will followed, organizers said. Guests must wear masks, maintain social distancing and purchase tickets with an assigned arrival time in advance. Group arrivals are scheduled at 15-minute intervals to maintain building occupancy levels and distancing.

Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Fridays from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.; and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
