Police Come To Rescue Of 2 Lost Hikers On Long Island
A police officer led the pair back after they lost their way on a hike.
MANORVILLE, NY — Police came to the rescue of two lost hikers on Long Island Sunday.
According to Suffolk County Police, a man and a woman in their 30s got lost about a quarter of a mile into the woods at Manorville Hills County Park Sunday at around 7 p.m.
The pair had a cell phone and called for help; an officer walked into the woods and led them back to their car, police said.
