Police Searching for Suspect Who Stole 50 Cartons of Cigarettes, $5,800 from Wading River Smoke Shop
A brick was used to break the glass front door, police said.

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly stole 50 cartons of cigaretttes and $5,800 from The Smoke Shop in Wading River.
According to the Riverhead Police Department, a commercial burglar alarm at The Smoke Shop, located on Route 25A, took place at 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Upon arrival, police discovered a glass break at that location, officials said.

An investigation conducted at the scene revealed that an unknown male suspect used a brick to break the glass on the front door and gained entry, police said.
Once inside, the subject removed approximately 50 cartons of assorted cigarettes, a cash register and curreny valued at $5,800, police said.

The man fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. A search of the area was conducted with no results. Anyone having any information regarding the identification of the subject involved or of the crime is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Detective Division at 631-727-4500 ext. 289.
