Police Seek Man Wanted for Armed Robbery

The man allegedly robbed Barth's Drugs at gunpoint last week.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Town of Riverhead Police Department are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man allegedly responsible for robbing a store in Riverhead earlier this month.

According to police, a man entered Barth’s Drugs, located at 32 East Main St., on May 8 at approximately 2:45 p.m. and displayed a handgun while demanding money. The suspect allegedly fled eastbound with an unknown amount of cash.

The man was described as approximately 6 feet tall. He was reportedly wearing white sneakers, with a black stripe going down the center of the sneaker, blue or black jeans and a black T-shirt.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
