Riverhead 2019 Elections: Candidates, Polling Places,

RIVERHEAD, NY — People from all across the country — including Riverhead residents — will get the chance to cast their votes and elect their representatives on Tuesday.

Here's what you need to know before hitting the polls:

Election day - Tuesday, Nov. 5

Time - 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Candidates

Riverhead Town:

Supervisor - Incumbent Laura Jens-Smith, a Democrat, is challenged by Yvette Aguiar, a Republican.

Town Clerk: Democrat Diane Wilhelm is running unopposed.

Receiver of Taxes: Republican Laurie Zaneski is running unopposed.

Town Justice: Lori Hulse, (R) is running unopposed.

Town Board: There are five candidates vying for two open seats. Democrats Pat Snyder and Diane Callan-Tucci are facing off against Republicans Timothy Hubbard and Frank Beyrodt, Jr., as well as William C. Van Helmond, Libertarian.

Town Assessor: Four candidates are facing off for two open seats, including Democrats Tara Taylor and Jaraby Thomas and Republicans Mason Haas and Meredith Lipinsky.

Suffolk County Executive: Incumbent Steven Bellone (D) is being challenged by John Kennedy Jr. (R) and Gregory-John Fischer (Lib).

Suffolk County Legislature District 1 - Incumbent Al Krupski (D) is being challenged by Remy Bell (R) of Riverhead.
