Riverhead Elementary School Evacuated After Bomb Threat: Police

The bomb threat was called in Thursday morning, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — The St. John Paul II Regional School in Riverhead was evacuated Thursday morning after a bomb threat, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, the threat came in early Thursday about the bomb threat in the school on Marcy Avenue ; police were on the scene and said no further information was immediately available.

A representative for the school said that all the children were safely evacuated.

St. John Paul II Regional School combines students from the former St. Isidore School and the Our Lady of Mercy Regional School in Cutchogue, both of which were shuttered in recent year.
