Riverhead Grocer Offers Bags That "Give Back" to Local Charity
The North Fork Breast Health Coalition Celebrates the Organization's Selection as a Stop & Shop Community Bag Program Beneficiary.

The North Fork Breast Health Coalition has been selected as a beneficiary of the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program for the month of May. The Stop & Shop Community Bag Program, which launched in May 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
The North Fork Breast Health Coalition was selected as the May beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Stop & Shop located at Route 58, Riverhead. The North Fork Breast Health Coalition will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during May, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.
“We are grateful that Stop & Shop supports the local community in this creative way,” said Susan Ruffini, president of the North Fork Breast Health Coalition. “We are especially pleased that the proceeds from the May community bag program will benefit local breast cancer patients and survivors.”
