Special Weather Statement Issued With Snow on The Way
Be prepared for slippery conditions and use extra caution when hitting the road Thursday morning.
A weak storm system will move through the region Wednesday night into early Thursday, bringing a light snowfall to Long Island. The snow may mix with and change to sleet and spotty light freezing rain. Any precipitation should end by sunrise.
Less than an inch of snow accumulation is expected for most of the island and a light glaze of ice is possible. The best chance for more than an inch of snow will be on the East End.
Be prepared for slippery conditions and use extra caution when driving on snow covered or icy roads.
