CALVERTON, NY — Splish Splash, a popular water park in Calverton, will remain closed for the entire season due to the pandemic.

According to an announcement: "Splish Splash is saddened to announce that after 29 seasons in operation we will be canceling our 2020 season, which would have been our 30th anniversary."

The news comes as a result of the "continued uncertainty surrounding the pandemic in New York," Splish Splash said. "This is an unfortunate situation and we know so many of you share our disappointment. We will not do anything to jeopardize the health and safety of our community, and we strongly believe that the best path forward is looking ahead to a full 2021 season."

Splish Splash's announcement also said that all 2020 season passes have automatically been extended to include the 2021 season. All 2020 admission tickets, including 2019 rain checks, will be valid in 2021 at no additional cost. And, in addition, all 2020 season passes will be upgraded to receive grater benefits in 2021.

"We cannot thank you enough for all the support, and cannot wait until May 2021, when we can safely invite you back, so you and your family can create new and memorable experiences," the Splish Splash management team said.
