Tanger Outlets Close As Lawmakers Race To Contain Coronavirus
Tanger Outlets in Riverhead and Deer Park will close, along with other malls, amusement parks and bowling alleys, at 5 p.m. Thursday.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Tanger Outlets will be closing temporarily as of 5 p.m. Thursday.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday that all indoor portions of retail shopping malls, amusement parks and bowling alleys will temporarily close in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New Jersey as the nation takes desperate measures to encourage social distancing and curb the spread of the new coronavirus.
Tanger Outlets in Riverhead and Deer Park has asked their tenants to comply.

"We will continue to monitor developments and communicate changes as they occur. We will also maintain a center team and security presence at each site. Retailers may still schedule deliveries and access the stores as needed," a release said.
