
Another day, another chance of thunderstorms for Long Island. As has been the case the past couple of days, the strongest storms are expected to remain to our west.
There's a chance of thunderstorms from about 6 p.m. until midnight Thursday on the island, the National Weather Service says. Rain is expected to spread across the region during the evening hours.

Thursday Night- Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1am, then showers likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog after 4am. Low around 60. South wind 5 to 7 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Friday- Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph.

Friday Night- A chance of showers between 9pm and midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 60. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Saturday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.
Saturday Night- A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. South wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Sunday- A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 75. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday Night- A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Monday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
