Top Gun Cigars Opens In Wading River

WADING RIVER, NY —A new cigar shop has opened at the Shoppes at East Wind in Wading River: Top Gun Cigars is owned by Christoper and Jennifer Kuehn, who said their aim was to create a place where people could enjoy "fresh, hand-rolled" cigars.

Christopher, who grew up in Great Meadows, NJ, spent time as a lifeguard in high school and then attended County College in Morris, NJ, where he worked as a certified EMT, a release said.

"Soon after he traveled to the city to embark on his dream of becoming a New York City police officer. He did have a fulfilling 10-year career, during which he obtained several excellent police duty medals and awards prior to his early retirement," the release said.

Both are excited to embark upon the next chapter in their journey.

"Chris and Jennifer are avid cigar smokers and knowledgeable about their brand and products," the release said. "Even though at Top Gun Chris carries his own branded cigars, he also strives to include a huge range of options so no one is left out. No matter what you're looking for, a mild, medium, bold, or maybe a triple wrap — a fav, by the way — you are sure to find something to accommodate your needs."

The couple said they plan to add to their product line in the future. Chris added that he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, the "occasional football game, boating, and of course smoking a cigar with a nice glass of bourbon whiskey," and looks forward to "a promising future and expanding his business."
