Tuesday Dumpster Fire Believed to Be Isolated Incident
After a series of dumpster fires a few months back, a Tuesday dumpster fire seems to be one in its own.

Riverhead firefighters made quick work of a Sound Avenue dumpster fire Tuesday morning, which is believed to have no connection to a string of recent dumpster fires which appeared to be related.
A call reporting a dumpster fire at 3177 Sound Ave. came in at 9:50, according to Riverhead Police. Second Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Brooks said the fire - in the dumpster of a residential driveway - seemed to have had started underneath a collection of electronics.
In January, a series of dumpster fires – five alone in Riverhead over the course of one weekend – caused alarm, though no serious injuries were reported in the incidents, and no larger fires were sparked as volunteers knocked down the dumpster fires, which were reported mostly along the Route 58 corridor.
Fire crews were wrapped and leaving the scene on Tuesday morning with an hour.
No injuries were reported in the fire, the official cause of which remains under investigation by the Riverhead Fire Marshals.
