RIVERHEAD, NY — After 40 years of dedicated service a custodian at the Riverhead Central School District received a fond farewell as he began his retirement.

On the day before he officially retired, Jimmy Dean was surprised by Pulaski Street Elementary School lstudents waving signs of thanks during an early morning fire drill.

Dean was also presented with a proclamation by Principal Patrick Burke.
