Wading River Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint During Blizzard: Police

A Wading River gas station employee was robbed at gunpoint during Saturday’s blizzard, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, officers responded at 9:30 p.m. to the Valero Gas Station, located on New York State Route 25A, for a reported robbery of the convenience store that just occurred.

Police said an unknown male entered the store and produced a handgun, demanding money from the employee. The suspect received an undetermined amount of cash and fled the store on foot, police said.
