Woman Slapped with Drug Charges, 3 Busted for DWI: State Police Blotter

Here are the New York State Police arrest reports through January 17.

All of the following information was supplied by the New York State Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate a conviction.

A Hampton Bays woman was busted by for drug possession in Riverhead, police said.

According to New York State Police, the woman, 25, of Hampton Bays, was arrested on January 12 and charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of controlled substance not in original container, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

She was arrested following a stop for a cracked windshield and having illegal tint on the windows of the vehicle, on County Route 58 in Riverhead, police said. She was released and issued appearance tickets for Riverhead Justice Court on February 8, police said.

  • A Riverhead man, 31, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on January 13 following a traffic stop at the intersection of Main Road and Fox Lane in Jamesport; he was issued appearance tickets for Riverhead Justice Court on January 25, police said.
  • Kimberly Quarty, 47, of East Quogue was arrested on January 15 and charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for moving from lane unsafely and driving across hazard markings on County Road 104, police said. She is slated for an appearance at Southampton Town Justice Court on February 15, police said.
  • Alyssa J. Taverna, 22, of Mastic was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on January 16 following a traffic stop on County Road 51 in Southampton, police said. Her appearance at Southampton Town Justice Court is scheduled for January 27, police said.
  • Nestor R. Rodriguez, 29, of Riverhead was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on January 17 following a traffic stop for moving from lane unsafely on Flanders Road in Southampton, police said; he is scheduled to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court on January 25.
