2 Pups From Westchester Shelter To Play In Puppy Bowl XVII

ELMSFORD, NY — Two puppies rescued from a Westchester animal shelter will take part in the three-hour Puppy Bowl XVII, television's most adorable sports competition and call-to-adoption event.
Paws Crossed Animal Rescue, located in Elmsford, said two of its former adoptees made the final roster for the game that takes place Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 7.
Staff at the animal rescue organization will be proudly cheering Yogi, who will be playing for Team Fluff, and Nutty Coconut, now known as Bailey, who will be taking the field for Team Ruff.

Puppy Bowl celebrates adoptable puppies and showcases the shelters and rescue organizations that are dedicated to helping animals find loving homes, according to a spokesperson.
Now in its 17th year, Puppy Bowl is 16 for 16 with a 100 percent adoption rate for the puppies and kittens featured on the television show.

According to Animal Planet, 22 shelters and rescues from nine northeastern states were enlisted to bring 70 pups to participate in this year's Puppy Bowl.
Puppy Bowl XVII will be broadcast on Animal Planet and the streaming service discovery+ beginning at 2 p.m. ET Sunday, Feb. 7. The pregame show will start at 1 p.m.
