2 Utica Men Accused Of Pot Possession On Thruway
Between them, the two men had more than a pound of marijuana, police said.
ARDSLEY, NY — Two upstate men were accused of having pot after being stopped on the Thruway. The New York State Police said troopers stopped a car on I-87 in the village of Ardsley around 10:30 p.m Tuesday for a vehicle and traffic violation.
Police said they established probably cause to search the car while talking with its occupants.
Daiquan R. Harrison, 25, of Utica, who was driving, was found to have about 168 grams of marijuana, police said.

His passenger Manuel Heredia, 24, also of Utica, was found to have about 440 grams of marijuana, according to authorities.
The men were taken into custody and processed at the Tarrytown barracks.

Harrison was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.
Heredia was charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.
They were released on appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Ardsley Court Aug. 10.
