$945 in Tires Re-routed to Hastings, Stolen

The owner of Sportsbike Track Gear, based in Utica, said the packages were supposed to go to Connecticut.

The Utica businesses owner called local police on March 21 to report that three boxes of $945.70 worth of tires were stolen when delivered a Hastings-on-Hudson address on March 1.

The packages were originally supposed to go to a Connecticut man, however during shipping a request was made to have the tires rerouted to another man, a “Mr. Jackson,” at 555 Broadway in Hastings-on-Hudson.

Police found that there is no “Mr. Jackson” at this address.
