Arraignment In Death Of Pedestrian In White Plains
Police said the Westchester man who was arrested was driving drunk at the time.
ELMSFORD, NY — A Westchester man who was accused of killing a pedestrian in White Plains in August was arraigned Thursday, officials said. Glen Robinson, 26, of Elmsford, faces a charge of second-degree vehicular manslaughter, a felony, in the death of Susan Benjamin-Bailey, 57, of the Bronx.
Police said, just after 6:30 a.m. Aug. 24, Robinson was driving while intoxicated in White Plains.
At the intersection of Tarrytown Road and Central Avenue, Robinson drove his Chevrolet Cruze into the brick meridian in front of the Westchester County Center, plowing into a pedestrian and killing her, police said.

Benjamin-Bailey was on her way to work in White Plains when she was struck, authorities said.
She was taken to White Plains Hospital where she died of her injuries.

Robinson's car also rammed into the raised planter with a standing clock in it, heavily damaging it.
