NBA player York Larese, who ran a free summer basketball clinics for Dobbs Ferry children, died Feb. 6 at the age of 77.

Larese was a native of Greenwich Village, according to an article at chapelboro.com.

He was a second round draft pick by the NBA and played with the Chicago Packers and Philadelphia Warriors.
