Checkpoint Yields 13 Issued Traffic Summonses

The Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department issued 13 summonses during a traffic safety checkpoint on Feb. 28 where plain clothed officers approached vehicles that were in violation of traffic laws at the crosswalk in front of Farragut Middle School between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The majority of summonses, 10 of them, were for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Other summonses issued were for driving with a suspended license, driving without a license and driving without insurance.
