Cooling Centers To Open For Greenburgh Residents
The hours could be expanded if necessary, officials said.
GREENBURGH, NY — In anticipation of the dangerous heat and humidity approaching the Hudson Valley, the Town of Greenburgh will open two places where residents can cool off. In an email from Greenburgh Police Chief Chris T. McNerney, he said the two cooling centers will operate between the hours of noon and 10 p.m.
The cooling centers will be located at the Theodore D. Young Community Center, 32 Manhattan Avenue, and the Anthony F. Veteran Park Multi-Purpose Room, 11 Olympic Lane in Hartsdale.
McNerney said the hours may be extended if the need arises.
